Let's go for a Sleigh Ride

Sleigh Ride is a light orchestral piece written by Leroy Anderson. He first got the idea of riding this song during a heat wave during July in 1946. The orchestral version was first recorded in 1949 by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops orchestra.


Lyrics were written for the piece in 1950 by Mitchell Parish and describe riding in a sleigh and other wintry activities.


I did this body percussion activity with some of my classes: (I did it slightly differently though!)
