This is one of the hit songs that made Paul Anka famous. Paul Anka is a Canadian born singer, songwriter and actor who was born July 20th, 1941 in Ottawa, Ontario.
He wrote many well-known songs such as the theme for "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson"
His first recorded single was "I Confess" when he was only 14 years old
The song "Diana" brought him stardom as it went no Number One on both Canadian and US Music Charts. Diana is one of the best selling singles ever by a Canadian Artist.
In 1958 at the age of 17 he was one the biggest teen idols of the time racking up four songs hitting the top 20.

In 1960 he began his acting career as well as writing songs for movies. "The Longest Day" being one such movie:
In the late 1960's and early 1970's he became frustrated because he just couldn't seem to get a top 25 hit. That changed in 1974 when he teamed up with Odia Coates to record the Number one hit "You're Having My Baby".
His last album was in 2013 and was entitled "Duets" This was to commemorate his 55th year of being a performer. It is there are duets with Michael Buble, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton and many more. Here is Paul Anka talking about the album:

Awards and Honours
In 1972, a street in Ottawa was named Paul Anka Drive.
In 1981, the Ottawa City Council named August 26 as "Paul Anka Day" to celebrate his quarter-century in show business.
Anka won the Juno Award for Composer of the Year (an award given for songwriting) in 1975.
He has been nominated for Juno Awards many other times.
He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1980.
Anka was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in October 2004.
Anka was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2005.
