Linda Ronstadt



Linda Ronstadt is a retired American singer. She had to quit singing because Parkinson's Disease has made it unable for her to sing.


She was born July 15th, 1946 in Tuscan, Arizona.



She originally won attention while performing with a folk-oriented trio, the Stone Poneys, in California in the mid-1960s. Here she is singing the hit song "Different Drum" with the Stone Poneys.

She had several hit albums that used a formula of mixing traditional folk songs, covers of Rock-n-Roll standards and new material by contemporary songwriters.


In the 1980's and 1990's she did a lot of Broadway. Here she is performing in the "Pirates of Penzance":
